The North Face Assault 2 is a highly technically engineered 2-person single walled tent with a removable vestibule, suited to serious alpine endeavours. Constructed from state of the art DryWall™ fabric that is highly breathable and has a higher tear strength than any of our existing rain fly fabrics. A built in gear loft frees up floor space as do body and vestibule hang loops. The advantage of the removable vestibule is that you can leave it behind for lighter weight travel or summit assaults. DAC Featherlite™ Poles provide the strong support we demand for our tents while remaining light in weight.
Reverse-Combi Poles
Reverse-Combi Poles use a different diameter of metal in different areas of the pole, with a thicker diameter at the top of the tent and a thinner diameter on the sides. This change in tension alters the arc of the pole and allows the tent walls to be steeper while flattening the top. With steeper tent walls, the interior footprint is maximized to offer more livable pace for greater comfort and headroom.
